XRP ETFs Near First Anniversary with $1.81B in Inflows
3 min read
U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds are approaching their first anniversary with $1.81 billion in cumulative net inflows through October 31, 2026, despite a reported 46.1% decline in XRP’s price, according to figures presented in the November 2 market assessment.
The figures reveal a contrast between demand for regulated XRP investment products and returns from the underlying cryptocurrency. The reported decline takes XRP from $2.32 to $1.25, raising questions about whether the ETF launches have delivered the price appreciation some holders anticipated.
The first major launch came on November 13, 2025, when Canary Capital’s XRPC began trading on Nasdaq. Its debut established an additional route for investors seeking XRP exposure through conventional brokerage accounts.
XRP ETF Launches Expand Market Access
Bitwise followed on November 20, 2025, introducing its XRP ETF. The launch added another investment product to the emerging U.S. spot XRP ETF market.
Grayscale’s GXRP began trading on NYSE Arca on November 24, 2025. The listing added Grayscale to the expanding group of investment managers offering exchange-traded XRP exposure.
Franklin Templeton subsequently entered the market with XRPZ, while 21Shares introduced TOXR. These products expanded the selection of fund managers available to investors seeking exposure to XRP without purchasing the cryptocurrency directly.
The launch sequence is significant because it demonstrates how quickly multiple established investment managers entered the market. However, broader product availability does not itself establish whether investors earned positive returns.
Goldman Sachs Reports Significant XRP Exposure
Goldman Sachs reportedly held $153.8 million in XRP ETF exposure across multiple products.
The reported position illustrates the scale of participation attributed to a major financial institution. Nevertheless, a disclosed securities position does not necessarily establish whether the holdings represent proprietary investments, client-related exposure or trading activity.
Quarterly institutional disclosures also describe positions at particular reporting dates rather than continuous ownership. Consequently, the reported Goldman Sachs allocation should not be interpreted as evidence that the institution maintained an unchanged position throughout the period.
Why ETF Inflows Have Not Lifted XRP
The contrasting figures highlight a distinction between capital entering investment funds and changes in an asset’s market price.
Net ETF inflows reflect subscriptions after redemptions, not investment profits. Continued demand for fund shares therefore cannot, by itself, establish that XRP holders have benefited financially.
For investors evaluating the first year, the relevant measures are different. Fund inflows indicate demand for access, while XRP’s price performance determines much of the investment outcome for products tracking the cryptocurrency.
What the Anniversary Could Reveal
The November anniversary places attention on subsequent fund-flow reports and institutional holdings disclosures, which could clarify whether the initial demand persists.
Those records will also help distinguish continued investment through regulated products from changes in the underlying cryptocurrency’s market value.
